Dr. Tamela Conner Pratt is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than nine years of experience in primary care and leadership within military health systems, alongside a strong commitment to school-based mental health. For the past two years, she has also served as a school therapist with Living and Growing, LLC, providing therapy and mental health support to students across schools in the Washington, DC area. In this role, she collaborates with educators, families, and administrators to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students, ensuring they receive holistic support for both their academic and personal growth.
Dr. Pratt served as the Medical Specialty Flight Commander at Langley Family Health Clinic in Virginia, where she managed operations across eight specialty departments, established and enforced clinical practice guidelines, and ensured compliance with The Joint Commission standards. She has also held leadership roles as Family Health Flight Commander at Langley and Family Nurse Practitioner/Element Leader at Bolling Clinic in Washington, D.C., where she led Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) teams and delivered care to diverse populations from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Dr. Pratt earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Maryland, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Austin Peay State University. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FNP-C) and also holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
